I don't fly FSX, but I have seen Jcomm singing the praises of the A320 NEO around these parts, so you might want to ask him about how it stacks up to something like the Aerosoft Airbus. I haven't tried the newly released v2, but I have racked up tons of hours in earlier versions of the add-on.
The JARDesign A320 NEO used to be a little rough around the edges but has developed into a formidable Airbus simulation over the past few months. I haven't spent much time with the CRJ 200, but it has served as a gold standard for complex systems simulation in the X-Plane community for a long time now you can't go wrong with it. Check out the airport scenery by the ISDG and Freddy De Pues for top-notch freeware. The quality of offerings can vary wildly, but XPScenery is a handy site that should at least make locating various packages a breeze. can't wait to jump into Xplane 10.Īs far as scenery goes, I've not spent a cent on it since there's such a wealth of freeware options available out there.

As of right now I can fly on max settings (i7 4770K overclocked to 4.4 GHz and superclocked GTX 780) and to be honest. Also excited that PMDG will be releasing a product (they are hands down the best aircraft in FSX) for Xplane 10 and that Aerosoft has joined the ranks. and I am very encouraged that REX (they are a must on FSX) is releasing a product for Xplane 10. If you do this now to update all of your airplanes and airfoils to version 9, then they should read right into version 10 this Christmas, no problem at all, since they will be v9 file format.Well. To update all of your airplanes to the latest (version 9) format, runPlane-Maker, go to the SPECIAL menu, and select BATCH CONVERT AIRCRAFT TO LATEST FORMAT To update all of your airfoils to the latest (version 9) format, run Airfoil-Maker, go to the FILE menu, and select BATCH UPDATE AIRFOILS This way, when X-Plane 10 comes out just in time for this Christmas, all of your planes and airfoils and scenery will work with it right out of the box. So, all aircraft authors and even people that just have collections of their own airplanes should update their airfoils and perhaps even aircraft to the latest version (9) right now! This may seem like a trivial issue… until you see that there are still a number of old version 6 airfoils floating around out there. X-Plane 10 will NOT support older airfoils than version 7!
